    Sirius and XM Merger

Not sure how many know about this. I have XM built in my car and Sirius in my apartment. Hopefully this will give me the NFL channel on XM and I can lower my monthly services.

    Re: Sirius and XM Merger

SIRIUS Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio recently announced a suite of new programming packages that will provide consumers with more choices and lower prices as a result of the companies' merger. These packages will set a new standard in audio entertainment and subscription media, offering lower prices, tiered options, "the best of both services" and the first ever true a la carte programming alternative for consumers. The announcement will be included in the companies' July 24, 2007 joint reply comments with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). A la carte programming will only be available for subscribers
using new radios, which will be developed following approval of the merger.

I never got the appeal of paying a monthly charge for radio...

    TV I understand, but radio?

My hope is that they give you a new reciever if you commit to a year of programming or something like that.

My sirius radios are way old.

We have a sports radio station down here stallion that is the worst.
The guy is a Rams fan and hates every other team.
If you try to call in and talk football (heck any sport) he calls you an idiot and hangs up on you and then talks smack about you and your team.

He won't take my calls anymore cause I said I was gonna start a petition to get him fired.

Anyway, the guys on NFL Sirius are damn good analysts that talk to a level that everyone can learn something from.

If you ever get the chance, check out "Moving the Chains".
Best talk radio show out there.

I'm just glad they're finally starting to build HD Radios into new cars.
I'm too cheap to pay for radio programming.

I'm listening to it online now. Good show, but Adam is so annoying at times. Pat Kirwan is an excellent analyst.

I don't even own a Sirius radio (even though all stations are not available online). For those of you thinking about a subscription, you need to know that for each radio you own, you will need to purchase a separate subscription, albeit at a lower price.

    Two things....

    1.
    I hated Kirwan.
Now that I listen to him on the radio my opinion has changed 180 degrees.
    I love his insight.
I've called him 3 times now and just recently found out him and the Chiller are good friends.

    2.
I don't listen to it at work.
I think my PPO destraction is about all the boss can handle.
