A performer at a free concert Saturday night at Michigan International Speedway shouted, "Anyone got a beer?"

One cool can of suds soared from the audience onto the stage, and then another, striking country singer Pat Green between the eyes.

The impact knocked him out cold, ending the concert late in his 75-minute set, a Michigan State Police trooper said.

Green and another country act, Danielle Peck, performed after NASCAR's Carfax 250 race. Peck was the opening act.

Green also was the grand marshal at Saturday afternoon's race

"As I understand it he asked for a beer, someone threw one and he caught it," track spokeswoman Sammie Lukaskiewicz said. "Someone then threw another beer, and it hit him."

Medical personnel treated Green at the track.

Reads like the second one was more than just a tossed and catchable beer can.
If it knocked him out cold, it had to have some velocity behind it.
Hope he's alright.
Also hope some guy with a cane in the crowd, noticed who tossed it at him...

I wasn't trying to play anything....that's the headline from the article, cut and pasted, with my substitution of "NASCAR" for "MIS", since I figured most of you jamokes wouldn't know what MIS is in terms of a sporting arena.
