Thread: The Simpsons Movie

I just wasted my life.
The offseason is too long and August 10th can't get here fast enough.

yea see i've seen both good and bad, so idk, it better be good if its 18 years in the making lol

I was disappointed by The Simpsons Movie. The first 30 minutes of the film were the funniest minutes I've seen of anything all year (and the funniest I've seen come from The Simpsons in about 5 years), but after that it got boring and slow. It might just be fatigue from the continual bombardment of environment-related concerts and awareness tours, but the main plot bored me. And why have the voice for Hank Scorpio attached to a different character? Why have Arnold Schwarzenegger as President when Ranier Wolfcastle is The Simpsons equivalent and wouldn't have pulled people out of the movie? Why was there no blood in the Itchy and Scratchy movie at the beginning? (There were organs, but was I the only one who noticed the absence of blood?) What was the point of the Irish kid except for the "My father's not Bono" gag?

That said, Ralph Wiggum made the movie for me; his line, "I like men now" was the funniest bit of the film.
