They flush the hydrants around once a year around here.
Nothing to worry about, although I personally don't drink the water until it goes away (usually in a day)
I think I will be bringing bottled water form now on
I will not drink anything but bottled water.
Don´t you drink beer then ????

We are flushing hydrants on the property all week.

Your water may appear brown or yellow in color.
    It is nothing harmful.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thanks for your cooperation.

no need to worry.. just fill some bottles with it and pretend it's Miller Lite or Coors Lite and have a party
    ;D
Better idea would be to fill your cup with Miller lite and tell everyone it's the water. ;D

fill your cup with miller lite and see if anyone can tell it's not water after a taste test.
Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

Anyone who actually LIKES Miller Lite has no taste anyways...so go ahead and drink the water.

    I drink Miller Lite.
Now, some of you may scoff, but I have my reasons.
The primary one is while I don't really like the taste of beer all that much, I LOVE to pee...and Miller Lite makes that happen a lot.

Well in that case...since Miller Lite tastes like pee smells, it makes perfect sense...the beer doesn't have to convert much before you get rid of it.
Also, since you live in Wisconsin, I can understand your desire to blend in a bit more (to offset the purple Vikings jersey, that is).

The lines are flushed also to remove the sediment that settles in the lines throughout the year. Since most of the water mains are metal, they do oxidize and flake off rust over the year and when there isn't enough volume going through to keep it suspended, it settles out in the lines but when they flush them, there is enough pressure and current to push it out the hydrant so it doesn't end up in your service line.

And if the price of oil keeps going up, you'll soon be able to pay $2/bottle for that privilege!

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!
