Thread: Should I be worried?

We got this e-mail today at work :-\


We are flushing hydrants on the property all week.


Your water may appear brown or yellow in color.
It is nothing harmful.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thanks for your cooperation.

that means your water will be yellow, from all the lead based paint, or brown, from all the rusted yellow lead based paint, but probabl nothing to worry about......

I don't think you should be worried.

Pretty normal occurrence.
They flush the hydrants around once a year around here.
Nothing to worry about, although I personally don't drink the water until it goes away (usually in a day)

no need to worry.. just fill some bottles with it and pretend it's Miller Lite or Coors Lite and have a party

They do it to flush out the bacteria that forms when the weather gets hot...no big deal.
The water also usually smells a little like sewage, but if you filter the water at home there should be no problem.

Better idea would be to fill your cup with Miller lite and tell everyone it's the water. ;D
