Well, another week has gone by. The hardest part about this whole adventure has been staying motivated. So far, so good.
Hang in there big guy. You'll feel a lot better & be healthier as you get towards your goal.

I'd hate to see you give up. How much have you lost so far?
Don't know - haven't weighed myself yet. Maybe this week.
Hang in thier fellow workout warrior
    ;D

Good thing you not stepping on the scale everyday.
I have been told by lots of people to stay off the scale as much as possible as it can be a detractor from what you are trying to do.

Goal is to focus on life style change (eating habits/working out - exercise).
With that said I did my monthly weigh-in (Friday) and am down 6lbs. Not bad I guess as I don't really have a very aggressive workout (75 crunches, light lifting daily, every other day 1 mile on treadmill).

I did have to shift my workout to the mornings vice evenings.
    Started that this morning.

    Just to damn hot lately.
    ;D
Actually, I do step on the scale every day, as I was on my big weight loss kick.
People thought it was wierd, but I charted it everyday, along with how long I worked out, how many calories I burned, how many carbs I burned, and how far I went.
My elleptical gives me those numbers, and I am sure they are wrong, but it was nice to chart them and see how I improved from week to week.

Also, stepping on the scale just kept me honest.
If it went up, I typically knew I had done something wrong lately, and just needed to stay focused.
I never worried about it, unless I would go an extended period of time and not lose any weight.

Each person has their own thing....and that was mine.

I'm going to join you in losing weight Shock. I was at 175 & now am at 170. I want to lose 15-20 more pounds.

    It's also been 24hrs. without a cig & I haven't killed anyone yet.
    :P

This is fat week when I will purge the house of all sodas & icecream & whatever else is fattening. Monday I will start eating & drinking towards a healthier life.

I think I'm doing well - haven't weighed myself yet, but the wife says she thinks I'm losing my "belly".

Keep up the great work shock! One thing I do have to say, is don't beat yourself up if you happen to miss one day of working out or if you have a cheeseburger one day. You should still be able to enjoy things in life and be able to "splurge" once in a while for yourself! It sounds like you're doing a great job!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Good job, Singer - keep it up on the non-smoking! I had a great upper-body workout tonight - trainer kicked my butt!

Easy singer gonna be in 'people' anytime soon?

It must be hard to loose weight while adding all that bulk to your mouse arm each day doing the ole' article hunt.

O.K enough jokes back to vikings threads.
