As Seen on TV
Has anyone ever bought the the stupid stuff they sell on TV info-mercials?
I just saw this stupid thing where you can peel a potato in 8 seconds by rubbing it.
It's called Tater Mitt

Huh.
If that actually worked it would be pretty cool. I have my doubts about it actually working that well in real life, or at least working that way for very long...
I don't buy AS Seen on TV crap, but I have been known to buy gadgets and crap from home and garden shows.
Sometimes they turn out pretty well.Zeus wrote:

Re: As Seen on TV
I wish I believed those worked effectively. I hate peeling potatoes.
Unfortunately I think they might just be junk.
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Re: As Seen on TV
Don't buy many things from the TV ads, however........
Wildwoman has a habit of only drinking about 1/3 of a soda.
She then sticks them in the fridge next to something I need so I am sure to knock them over and spill soda all over the damn place.
I bought her a set of those tops that seal the cans.
Can't remember what they were called but they work good.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: As Seen on TV
There used to be a site that would rate everysingle "as Seen on TV" product buty I cannot find it for the life of me. Some I was surprised were total junk while others were actually good products. But with the gloves I would be worried that I would have to scratch my nards while wearing the gloves and then oh-oh.

Re: As Seen on TV
I bought a "Pocket Fisherman" several years ago and it worked very well considering the pole was so short. You couldn't cast real far but it did work like a charm if you had a heavy enough lure on the end.
