    San Francisco bans Happy Meals

    The city's board of supervisors votes to forbid restaurants from giving away toys with meals that have high levels of calories, sugar and fat.

    Not a bad idea.

    Don't reinforce poor eating habits with toys. It makes perfect sense.

    I agree ... I have a 3-year-old that wants Happy Meals for the toys. She would gladly drink one of their Banana Strawberry smoothies for a toy and be much better off, but she would rather the toy than the smoothie, so I have to listen to her scream.

    I think this might be an overly drastic measure, but I don't know that I am against it.

    If the parents are taking the kids to Mickey D's they will still eat the same crap, the only difference is they won't get a toy.

    Cant you just buy the toys outright? At least at BK I'm pretty sure you can, not 100% on McDicks though.

    Yes, you can buy the toys separate from the meals.
