The US team go into the singles matches on Sunday with a 9-7 lead, I have been mighty impressed by the standard of play over the first 2 days. To be honest I wasn't sure about Faldo being the captain for Europe before the event teed off but I can't blame him for the fact we are behind right now. Ian Poulter who was a controversial pick by Europe's captain has probably been the star player for us so far and the fact that we are losing is a combination of good play by the American players and a lucky bounce here or there on the greens. The score is 9-7 but it could easily have been anything between 9.5-6.5 and 8-8 it really has been that close. Hopefully Europe can stay in contention tomorrow and maybe even pull off the victory but America must start as strong favorites, Tiger who?
