Rudy T resigns from the Lakers.

man that sucks, i hoped he would lead us to the playoffs and become a respectable team even though most of the laker roster is revamped.

Jeesus, what else can go wrong with the lakers. Trade Kobe?

Phil only goes where there is talent to win a championship now, and that clearly isn't the knicks(sorry to tell yout his man). I bet he waits for don nelson to leave at the end of this year, and coaches the mavs, they have plenty of talent to win.

I hoped that Rudy T would do it too...I was living in Houston when he won his two with the Rockets...great guy, I met him one night in a little bar near my apartment that my fellow students and I used to go to after school. He had been going to this same bar since his playing days with the Rockets and everybody was cool with him. He was cool too, drinking and talking b-ball and other stuff with us. He is still a god in H-town...I hope that he ends up coaching again somewhere!

Well, after hearing his press conference I'll take back some of my criticism of Rudy T. It really seems as if the pressure of coaching was too much for him. It still seems a little odd but I'll take him at his word this time. Good Luck Rudy. :salute:

Awesome story. Its amazing to think all these superstar players and coaches end up at a regular bar. You would think they would be too good for a bar and have something like a bar or a better bar at the mansion theyre living at.

On the other hand, wouldnt mind seeing phil jackson come back and coach the lakers but i doubt he would since i heard about his book and a lot of it was B***ing about Kobe and his ways.

Phil already expresssed interest in returning to the Lakers. The problem lies in Kobe. It's true that in the book, Phil talked some smack about Kobe. Much of it having to do with the fact that he (Kobe) isn't very coachable. If Bryant is willing to let the past be the past and can listen to and trust Jackson, then I think it's a real possibility that the Zen Master will return.
