Actually, you are right, but it is not resveritrol. If you read the very extensive work by British scientist Roger Corder, he discusses all the science on this in his book called "The Red Wine Diet". But he discounts resveritrol. Polyphenols are what do it, and they are found in specific wines. For instance, the people of the island of Sardinia (Italy) often live to 100 and more, and they drink red wine daily.

Sparkling wine is not bad but I prefer Champagne.

I love most red wines but don't like any white wines...other than the cheap sparkling wines.

I guess some say it's an aquired taste, but nothing goes better with a hearty Italian meal at your favorite place than a few glasses of Chianti.
I love that fruity, robust taste with a kick at the end.

The problem for me is it acts as a super dehydrant...much worse than beer or whiskey.

Had a number of glasses of red wine last night on my flight, so my heart should have got a nice boost.

    It's good to be healthy.
You'll probably live to be 100 now.
Hell, you might even get an extra 10 minutes on your next slalom run.
    ;D
