Thread: Pre and Game Time Superstitions.....Let's hear about yours?

For some, it may be something as simple as wearing that certain players jersey while watching the game.
I for one have had a number over the years..




I used to have a Vikings Troll Doll, and I would comb his hair before kick off and talk to him... :




Not to many years ago, I would put all my pets outside, not only did I get tired of thinking they jinxed me, but I don't think they liked me yelling at them when we had a bad play or outcome to a game..




For the past couple years now, I tend to believe that my Pre-Game ritual brings us lots of luck, and I try to cook different ethnic meals.....





I won't change the style of cooking till we loose a game, then I pick up on another the next week..





For the season opener this year, I made, italian style hot sausage and peppers....WE WON... ;D





Last Week I made Lasanga....We Won AGAIN...





Tomorrow, looks like I'll have to wip up a little something Italian again, to keep the streak going red hot...

HOW CAN WE LOSE NOW.. ;D

I put on a jersey, and tell everybody to shut up.

Oh ny god! I was just thinking about this.
On game day,I can't wear any Vikings clothing. I can't drink coffee out of my Vikings cup or mug.I have to move that stuff out of my sight.
I can't watch the pregame shows.
I can't look at the pictures of the starters they put up on the screen at the start of the broadcast.
I can't have anything out of place between me and the TV.
And I can't look away when they show the cheerleaders. Well, maybe that one isn't a jinx, but I still can't look away;right Cajun?

If the opponents get a lead, I have to stop watching the game!

Last week for example...Brad threw an int when we were down by 7, I turned off the game until it was over (had to go to a school function). We won!! Sucks but works!

For Home games, I make sure I wear a home jersey.
For road games, an away jersey.
I don't wash the jerseys after a victory and make sure to wash them after a loss.

That's about it.

Gotta wear the hat, despite the fact that my classmates who are Lions or Packers fan often find that as reason to verbally lynch me.

I wear a jersey every game day, if we win I don't wash that jersey until I wear it on a day we lose. I don't eat during the game and if I drink and we are winning I need to keep drinking, if we start struggling then I have to stop drinking. Very stupid superstitions, but oh well.

it all depends on whats happening, but normally its food. i remember when we were playing the packers in the playoffs,
i had some extremely lucky cookie dough. when i watched the redskins game at the local burger hut, i had some blue gatorade, and was that some lucky gatorade or what?
