Ironicly, the guy at the end of the table in picture 2 is my brother Dale, who IS an ironworker. And I ,in the Rice Jersey, was once an ironworker in my younger years.
Marrdro is an old salt with a lot of pepper left in him. I wouldn't mess with him either.He's every bit the great guy he seems on PPO.
I think we are all looking forward to the day when you can make it to one the games.

There is no secret gumbo mix...I don't even have a recipe...just a general idea of what to put in the pot...so it comes out a little different every time!

Like I told you this weekend...the ONLY rule that I DO have regarding gumbo is NO TOMATOES!!!
That's New Orleans style...NOT Cajun!
Onions, bell pepper, celery, okra, roux (flour and oil, browned VERY, VERY slowly until it gets to be a nutmeg color)...and whatever meat, sausage and/or seafood you want in it.

Hey, there!
Was so bummed when we didn't make it- planned on going but found out it was supposed to be 55 degrees out- thought it might be a little chilly for Webby Jr.
Webby was planning to attend (was looking forward to seeing all the PPO's- veterans and new)- but ended up with a horrible case of salmonella poisoning after grabbing a quick lunch out Saturday... (won't mention where)- is still recovering...
we're looking forward to making up for it at the Packer's game.
You're more than welcome to make your famous gumbo here in the kitchen (yes, last year was a little tough- would have been quite late).
Though I have to warn you- I'm hard pressed to stay up past 10:30 pm now with Webby Jr. getting up by 6 am or so...
so the earlier the better
Look forward to you meeting him- will be two weeks before his birthday!
For all those interested, I'll take meticulous notes on the famous gumbo and post the recipe after!
Look forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks!
