Thread: poll on auto mechanics

being a mechanic for several years and hearing some of my custumer's views , i would like to know PPO's take.

With out a doubt a great mechanic is priceless, I've done too much of that work and have some very good friends in the business.

a bad mechanic should be beaten with a crowbar, but they generally don't last

i know nothin' about cars so i pretty much just hand over the keys and my wallet if my dad can't fix it. Sucks, but what's a guy to do?

I have been going to the same mechanic for 13 years and I trust him with my wife (if I had one).

there has been times when i took my car in and he said there was nothing wrong with it and i left without paying a dime.

they are very hard to come buy. i dont think there are that many true guys that arent going to rip you a new one
