Police report: Terrell Owens attempted suicide

According to a Dallas police report obtained by News 8, Dallas Cowboys star receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide Tuesday night.

The report says Owens was depressed and reportedly took prescription pain pills. A woman companion states that she observed him putting two pills in his mouth.

According to the police narrative, the woman said the prescription of 40 pills was filled on September 18 and—until Tuesday—Owens had taken only five pills.

The police report said Owens was asked if he had taken the rest of the prescription; Owens said, "Yes."

According to the report, police also asked if he was trying to harm himself. Owens answered, "Yes."

Owens was treated at Baylor University Medical Center.

A Dallas Cowboys spokesman told News 8 the team has no comment on the police report, nor is any news conference scheduled.

Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens was hospitalized on Tuesday night not due to an allergic reaction to medication, but because he tried to commit suicide.

Several media outlets are reporting the news.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, a Dallas police report says that Owens "ingested a large amount of prescription medication."
The report also states that, when police asked Owens if he attempted to harm himself, he said yes.

Wow.
Don't know what else to say about this one for now.

Proof positive that he is a psycho!!!

On the flip side, if he is indeed suicidal, I hope that he gets the help that he needs!

He should quit football and focus on what is most important...life!

For as much shit as I give the guy I hope he can clean up his act. Retire if he needs to hell you came you saw, you showed the world you can hang with the best of them.
Money and fame come at a high cost I guess.

yeah, as much as i have liked to dislike him over the years...nobody should ever attempt to do that.
and i agree, if that is the case and the reports are true, he should get out for a while and get into rehab.

In as much as I agree TO has issues, this is just another example of the media running someone under the bus.
I wish he can recover and learn from his mistake(s). Life is priceless.

Wow. As much as I can't stand the guy's on the field antics and public persona, I really hope he does what's right and takes some time off to get the help he needs. He's obviously a troubled person.

That's just weird. The guy is just mentally imbalanced.

The guy has brought alot of his bad press upon himself, however I feel really bad for him.Hes obviously hurting inside.All the money in the world cant fix your heart.I hope hes doing ok, and I wish him the best.
