Police Beating of Fan last Sunday witnesses wanted

I got a call from nephew last night and he had just gotten out of jail after being beaten senseless by the Minneapolis police as he was leaving the stadium last Sunday.
There were 4 or 5 officers and one came up behind him and pulled him back by his sweatshirt, then proceeded to tase and club him.

I would appreciate it if anyone saw the altercation to get in touch with me so I can hear an unbiased account of the facts.

    Thanks

    Wouldn't that make the news?

    Could be.
I'm in Yuma, Arizona, so I don't get the Minneapolis news.
But the facts arre he spent 36 hours in jail after they took to an emergency room.
His face is all black and blue, but there are no marks on his hands.

It wouldn't have made the news since the dude was in jail. The cops don't alert the media when they beat people.
Anyways, it sounds like the Minneapolis police. They tend to be suburban jock-tards who like to hide behind badges. I've been assaulted and wrongfully detained by them before, probably for looking ethnic. Good luck.

I didn't hear or see anything after leaving the game on Sunday.
Do you know the area where this happened?

Your leaving the stadium that had tens of thousands of people in it, where a group of cops begin beating you and TAZERING you, you think the cops would need to notify the media?

Minnesota must be a messed up place if a guy can get grabbed from behind, beaten and tasered on his way out of a sporting event and have nothing be said.

You've been assaulted by police for looking ethnic?

I'll check to find the location.

He and his girl friend were leaving early.
I think it was in an area away from the seats, but I'll try to get a specific location and time.

    He's facing felony assault charges.

I have heard nothing about this in any paper or news reports and this area is very big on reporting things like this, but the many times I have been to the Metrodome I have never seen the police beat someone senseless.

If your Nephew was beaten what was the sitaution?

Sorry, I am not buying that the cops just tased him for no reason and started beating him, that just seems far fetched.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

The location was Gate H and it was right around half time (1:00 PM).

I'm not clear on the situation, only that he was voluntarily leaving.
I don't know the facts, just trying to find witnesses.
BTW my nephew's late father, my brother, was a chief of police -- Neither I, nor my nephew are police haters.

    Thanks

Downtown Minneapolis after a Vikings game, anything can happen. Most people wouldn't think twice about a drunkard fighting cops. And yes, I do assume he was intoxicated and resisted arrest and caught a whoopin.
AND yes, a cop pulled me out of the passenger side of the car, threw me on the ground and kneed me in the back, cuffed me and sat me on the street and told me I fit the profile of someone who shot up a house because we were in a "black" automobile. Then he asked why my last name is german, the witnesses drove by and said it wasn't me, and then I heard it happened to my Mexican friend a block away. Awesome job profiling! (he did however feel like an idiot after telling me I was going to prison and I was F'd by the fickle hand of fate in a Fargo accent)
