Poetry Corner
Since it is the offseason, I figured I would start a thread for poetry. Here are some poems I have wrote. Feel free to post your own poetry or comment on some.
Winter Onslaught
The warm days
The cool nights
Which give way to the northern lights
The summer breeze
Which rustles through the fallen leaves
Long sleeves and sweaters
To withers the weather
The smell of morning dew
The days are getting cool
Winter is near
Which is my worse fear
Being trapped indoors
No more making smores
No more walking through the woods
Without wearing big jackets and hoods
No more sitting by the lake
Next comes the season I hate
Time to pull out all the cold gear
Because winter is here
Men
Women have the ability to make
A poor man rich
A rich man poor
A strong man weak
A weak man strong
A bad man good
A good man bad
A wise man dumb
A dumb man wise
A straight man crooked
A crooked man straight
A wild man tame
A tame man wild
Women have the ability to make... Men

A Poem by BBQ Platypus
I got really bored
So I wrote a poem.
It doesn't rhyme.
Reflections on Fruitcake by BBQ Platypus
Fruitcake tastes like @$$.
Not just any ordinary @$$.
I'm talking, like
Your dead grandma's @$$.
"This is my timey-wimey detector. It goes ding when there's stuff."

Re: Poetry Corner
Here's a great poem I just wrote, called The Bunny:
Once upon a time,
There was a cute little bunny,
That hopped along
the green green meadow.
Then I shot it.
And it bled.
Thanks PPE for the sig.

My ninth grade special:
One day as I was walking on a railroad track,
I saw an old woman digging in a garbage sack.
I said to her, "What in the heck are you doing?",
She said, "Wait your turn, I'm still chewin'!".
I ran into my old ninth grade teacher a few years ago (she's STILL hot-looking, by the way) and she told me that she still reads this poem to her students to inspire them to be creative (she reasons that if I could write about something like that, then they should feel free to write about anything!)...LOL!!!BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE
