pilonidal cyst... it's a serious pain in the arse!!
I started feeling something on my tailbone a few years ago after being tripped in a hockey game and landed on my tailbone. It hurt for days.. but xrays show'd it wasn't broken.
since then i have always had a small bump on my tailbone. but it never really got big or sore.
last tuesday that changed..
by thursday nite it felt like i had a golfball on my tailbone. friday nite i went into the emregency room near my house here in athens. they told me i had a pilonidal cyst. and that it would need to be fixed. They gave me anti biotics and some anti-flamatory pills and said to come back if it didn't reduce down. Xmass eve i was back in.
they cut me open a bit and drained it out, and said that in 3 days if they kept growing i'd hvae the surgery. spent those 2 days after in some serious pain (u know u flex yer cheeks when u caugh, sneeze, drink, eat.. pretty much all day long!!) well tuesday nite i went in.. wednesday i had an operation.. a cyst the size of a tennis ball came out.. i'm not jokin.. it was huge..
they also took off a small cyst i had on my head.. i was released yesterday nite and will be not going to work for another 10 days. sleeping and laying on my side.. (as i type this i am standing infront of my pc.. not sitting!!!!!)
my gf is cleaning up the bandages and gauzes and i'm on lots of pills for the next week.. i'm ok and healing.. but have one serious pain in the arse..
i was wondering if anyone else had this b4.. and how they went through it.
