    Pharmacist perception

This is kind of random, but being in Pharmacy school here in Alberta, I'm interested in what people's perception of pharmacists are, especially in the US.
I find in Canada pharmacist have a terrible public perception as simply overpaid pill counters.
I've been thinking of working in the US when I graduate and am curious what people's opinions of pharmacists are?

Actually a friend of the family just went through the Pharmacist Tech course.
    She likes it.
Decent pay, no weekends, no responsibilities (all her work is checked) and works in AC environment all day.

    Cake job.

I have never heard any negatives toward that profession.
I would say that is considered an esteemed occupation in the U.S.

I don't think many people would think of pharmacists as unethical I was more interested in what the public thinks of the pharmacist competence/knowledge/responsibility/proffesionalism.

I think that would be an interesting job.
When I worked at Wal-Mart, one of the girls in the Pharmacy told me about acouple 90 year old men that would come in once a month for Viagra.
She didn't think anything of it until she found out they both had girlfriends in their forties.

Why would you care what a Vikings fan thinks about a pharmacist?

    Re: Pharmacist perception

If you are a pharmacist in the US, I would think a lot of people would want to be your friend, hoping to get discounts on their prescriptions or try talking you into getting them some mood altering drugs.

Addiction & illegal use of prescription drugs is constantly on the rise.

Because Vikings fan are regular people who happen to like the Vikings, and likely have used a pharmacist more than once in their lives.
