Re: Paul Allen SELLING OUT!!!
I'll admit, that got me too.
Hasn't he been trying to sell the Blazers for a long time now? Allen shot his wad with that team years ago, and they're now suffering the consequences of signing mediocre talent on HUGE contracts.

he loses rediculous amounts of money anually due to his stupidity in hiring john nash as general manager years ago..the team also has absolutely no future so hes making the right decision in this..zach randolph, steve blake, and juan dixon being your core isnt very promising, and darius miles is constantly on the trading block which wont bring much of anything in returnY would he want to sell the team?
i guess if your rich you can do whatever you wantPeople who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

I should've clarified, I meant that in the sense that Allen has already made a huge effort to make that team competitive, and when that failed he wasn't going to make a second run at it because, as olson_10 said, the team is losing millions of dollars and is no more competitive than it was when they had Clyde Drexler playing there all those years ago. And with the Seahawks being Allen's primary concern now, he doesn't have the time or the inclination to go back to Portland and do what is necessary to make that team halfway decent."Benet" wrote:

Re: Paul Allen SELLING OUT!!!
As a lifelong Trailblazer fan, I would love to see Terry Porter have a hand in buying the team. The Blazers have had a huge black eye for several years and having a really good guy and beloved ex-Blazer like Porter would do a great deal to energize the city. The first thing the new owner should do is hire back Rick Adelman. RIP CITY, BABY!! (that's Portland lingo for "Go Blazers!")
