I can't wait to see the pics of the house. At $45,000, it can't be much.

$45,000 may not be much, but when you consider that he started with a paper clip, then I am pretty impressed.

My dad has an old shotgun house that he would probably trade MacDonald for his year's rent in Arizona (provided he could sublet the duplex apartment and cash in the rent that way). Of course, MacDonald would have to haul the shotgun house off of the land that it sits on...he did say house but I heard no mention of the land it is to sit on being any part of the deal.
OK, I have to ask. What is a shotgun house?
It's a small three-room house with the rooms all in a line and the doors are all lined up in a row as well front-to-back...the reason that they call it a shotgun house is that supposedly if you fired a shotgun through the front door, the pellets would all fly completely through the house and out the back door without touching the walls!
