    BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -Panthers forward Richard Zednik underwent surgery to close a deep gash on the right side of his neck, after he was cut by a teammate's skate during a game against the Sabres on Sunday night.

    Zednik was in stable condition at a Buffalo hospital.

    What a scary situation there.
    I am sure everyone playing hockey has thought of something like this but never expected it to happen.

    I saw it on sports center last night, my HD made it look even worse.
    The trail of blood was a little distrubing.

    I remember that one two.
    I think both injuries, were about the same as far as severity and graphicness, it is just that the cameras were trained on Malarchuck the whole time, so we see more...

    It is amazing someone hasn't lost an eye in a similar situation.
    That was weird how the dude fell and how his skate got that high.

    close , but Bryan Berard had this eye injury from a high stick

    lots of blood on the ice for an eye injury..I remember reading reports that his eye actually deflated.
