The Associated Press reports three pitbulls that belong to Carolina Panthers LB Thomas Davis have been seized by Charlotte animal control officials. Davis was cited after the dogs got loose and attacked a woman walking her dog. According to police records, Davis was also cited on May 3 for letting his dogs run loose. The woman was walking her dog Tuesday, May 16, when the pitbulls attacked, according to animal control officer Denise Lambiotte. Lambiotte added, "In the middle of her trying to give aid to her dog, she was also bitten on her hand." Davis will be asked to forfeit ownership rights and the animals will be destroyed if the dogs are declared dangerous.

this is an all to common occurance. people will never learn. god help the pitbull that attacks my dog. that thing will get as many 9mm rounds as it takes......to stop the threat of course!!!!! :evil:

Pitbulls are just nasty mean dogs.

calm down clint w/ 9mm. it's not the dogs fault his owner sucks! put some shock collars on the dogs to keep them in the yard,try a fence loser.

Those dogs should be killed and that knucklehead who owns them should be thrown in jail. It's a given that he'll be sued, but he has so much $$ that the lawsuit won't be much of a deterrence.

Pit bulls seem to be the dog of choice among athletes these days; I guess they like a tough dog to help keep their egos inflated.

I'd pick a happy, dopey labrador over a pit bull anyday.

Not all pit bulls are bad. Its the owner that can make them mean. Many of the dogs are used in dog fights and are trained to kill and be agressive. Thats what most people know them for but I know some people that have 2 of them and they are some real real nice dogs.
