Thread: Ovechkin or Crosby?

Aight so im not a big NHL fan but I do love watching these two players especially when they are going at it.
So simple question, Who is better?

Is this even a serious topic? Ovechkin, the russian machine, is miles ahead of everyone in the league right now. Pure goal scorer and loves what he does.

Is easily the goal of the season.

I'd take Crosby simply because I hate Ovechkin and would rather have a Canadian player on my team than a Russian any day.

I take Ovechkin simply because Crosby is a whiny little bitch.

Probably the best two player rivalry since Gretzky-Lemieux.

Ovechkin has really grown on me.
He's easily the most exciting player in the game.
It's clear that they're different players...Crosby seems more selfless than me, but Alex knows his role...shoot the dang puck and make plays on your own.

The best thing taht ever happened to Ovechkin was when he got his butt handed to him by TEam CAnada in the World Junior tournament a few years back.
Before he got punished in that game, he was a whiner and he was soft.
Now he's physical and energized every time he's on the ice.

I'd still take Crosby as a positive leader (even though I agree he whines too much lately), but if I wanted someone to score goals and put butts in the seats...Ovie.

Altough I feel Crosby is a more complete player, but with teh game on the line and one break away I would take Alex

what!? really? ovechkin and malkin is the rivalry, NOT crosby and ovechkin..you talk about ovechkin, and wonder where he falls in all time, while you look at crosby, and you can already put a number of current players ahead of him

also, crosby continues to disgrace the game of hockey on a weekly basis whether hes being the third man into a fight, punching a player in the nuts numerous times, jumping on a defenseless players back and punching him repeatedly, or trying to cheap shot ovechkin as he simply skates by then decides to make childish comments accusing ovechkin of being a showoff and cheap shot artist simply because he cant take losing

ovechkin brings it every night, while crosby regularly sits out for extended periods of time with petty practice injuries..its tough to tell which one is the canadian, and which is russian

theres a reason why crosby's teammates dont stick up for him..hes got no respect from his team whatsoever

Alex is better with the puck and putting it in the goal

I feel Crosby is a better defender and slightly worse then Alex with dishing the puck and putting it in.. Not far behind.. But Alex is crazy
