Oregon cop battles 12-foot python to save pet store owner

EUGENE, Ore. - A pet store owner is calling a police sergeant a hero for saving her from the coils of a 12-foot Burmese python doing its best to turn her into a meal.

Teresa Rossiter had reached into a cage Thursday to show the huge snake to a customer when it bit her right hand and coiled around her left arm to throw her to the floor............

Seriously though, what would make anyone want to own a snake that can kill you, your kids or even your pets for that matter.

Anyone on PPO own one of these things?

One of the "not so useless" facts I picked up on one of the nerd channels was this:
If a constrictor snake (or probably any snake for that matter) is being uncooperative, spraying/splashing alcohol on their face causes them to immediately release without harming the snake.
Of course, a bullet through the skull accoplishes the same thing... 8)

We have blacksnakes here in VA (among others) that are harmless but scare the shit out of a man when he is busting brush/running beagles.

You should see what Ole Chuck (12 ga semi auto Charles Daly) will to to them when you have some buckshot loaded.

Not sure if I'd want to waste my expensive Whiskey on a snake...I wonder if a can of Beast would do the trick?
