Police nab robber who stole lettuce

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. - One robber's list of things to steal included whiskey, a thermometer and lettuce.

Police were called to a grocery store late Thursday after witnesses said a 46-year-old man from Brown Deer threatened employees. The workers said the man gestured as though he had a concealed gun and told them he would shoot.

The man left with 12 bottles of whiskey, two heads of lettuce and a digital thermometer, police said.

Officers found a vehicle in a nearby neighborhood that matched a description given by store employees. The man was taken into custody and identified from store surveillance video.

LMFAO!!! How do you walk into a store and say to yourself " I need 12 bottles of whiskey, 2 heads of lettuce and a thermometer"? LOL

He was gonna make a BLT to drink with his whiskey. He needed the thermometer to make sure the pork (bacon) was up to the right temperature to kill the bacteria and the lettuce and tomato were cool.

Knowing the guy was from WI & a Packer fan, he & some friends were probably involved with performing stupid pet tricks.

The Whiskey was for him & 11 of his buddies to get in the mood, the thermometer was probably a rectal one to make sure the temperature was just right & the lettuce was used by him & his buddies to coax the gerbils into the cavities.
