Well, a vintage game (still in the box) sold for that much. The system itself was just along for the ride.
I have an old NES packed away still. I don't think I have any spectacular games though. I think I might have the power glove still...

The biggest mistake I have ever made is selling my N64 when I got my PS2. I regret that decision everyday.

I felt the same way when I got rid of pong, but, then I realized it was just an acid flashback and got over it.

I still have my N64. I also have Super Nintendo and Nintendo. I am about to get Sega Genesis.

Nostalgia plays tricks with the memory, go play some of those old games on an emulator. After 5 minutes you are very happy that it's a PS3, Wii or a 360 that now sits under your TV.
