Re: Ohio school suspends boy over Mohawk

True. People should just advocate for stupid rules like this to be removed. For the record, I don't see a problem with the kid's haircut.

If this happened in my kids' school district, and the mom was smart enough to bring it before the board instead of just ignoring them, I would have lobbied against the policy too.
Even if the kid looks like an idiot with that hair.
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

What a little bad-jiggly butt.
I didn't notice that.Zeus wrote:

Rules like this are fairly easy to change, but just ignoring them and sending you kid to school like that after repeated warnings is NOT the way to do it.
The rule is asinine, but the suspension could have been avoided if the mom wasn't being stupid.Zeus wrote:

Re: Ohio school suspends boy over Mohawk
With this mom's expert guidance and discipline, this kid has probably got a really bright future in front of him.
I really hate parents that take an innocent kid and try to make some social comment through how they dress or groom them.
The poor kid doesnt have a clue, but Mom has got to cause a scene.
I am glad some orginization has the balls to stand up for standards in this day and age of Political Correctness too many institutions are afraid to take any kind of stand for rules and standards of decency.
For fear of reprocussions from the ACLU or some other orginization most groups will just lie down and take it.
I am glad they have a standard and they enforce it.
It is a charter school, and it you dont like it take your kid elsewhere (which this lady seems to be doing at the moment so I commend her for that, I would have been pissed if I read that she was going to sue to keep her kid in that school).

Well atleast he didn't do something horrible like kiss a kindergarten girl on the cheek or anything.
I don't remember the exact story but I remember a family was sued for sexual misconduct when their kindergarten boy kissed a kindergarten girl.
