#2 seed Hurricanes just knocked off the #4 seed Buffalo Sabres in game 7.

So the match up for the finals is #2 seed Carolina Hurricanes vs. #8 seed Edmonton Oilers.

Wow... Intelligent post. One of the biggest underdogs in hockey history against a team nicknamed the cardiac canes because of how exciting their games become. Games aren't all about goaltenders but since that's your point, Roli and Cam are at their best right now.

It's just that people don't give these two teams enough respect. Would you rather have seen Ottawa and Detroilet? I think that series would have sucked even though both teams were 1 seeds.

Let's Go Oilers! For some reason I really dislike Carolina and when the Wild are out of I always root for the traditional hockey towns like Toronto, Calgary and such.
