Official Madden 2008 thread

Is anyone else as pumped about this game as me?
My Madden 2007 game got scratched and I wasn't going to buy another one so I"ve had to go the past 4 months without any Madden :P.

What is everyone looking forward to most in the game?
Personally I'm just pumped they're trying to improve the basic gameplay (versus dumbass features like Superstar mode) by introducing better player animation, blocking, tackling and physics.

I have an xbox360 still. I am hoping franchise will even be deeper than last years. And alsoas far as Superstar mode,maybe if youplay to be a number 1 pick in college you can be number 1 pick. HoF ceremony would be nice too. geesh i could list changes but wont. There so much more they could do if they just did it. Buit i do love the game ;D

I'm going to be playing on Wii, so a more robust motion control and more multiplayer game options have me excited. The second I start I'm making either a wr or QB in superstar mode. My career may not being with the Vikes, but I'll make sure it ends there.

im pumped i guess they are bringing back fantasy draft, edit player for the next gens also gang tackling, and some new things

I doubt I'll be buying 08' unless it gets rave reviews.
They never really seem to change too much from year to year.
I wasn't going to buy 07' and hold out until 08' but I accidentally shut off the game while it was saving and erased 15 seasons of franchise mode.

There are TONS of new features in gameplay this year. I don't want to explain, just google it, it looks amazing.

I liked the "create team" feature they had on all the old gen games.

Nothing like starting out with a cupcake team, and drafting/building a championship team IMO.

well Madden bores me out pretty much to be honoust... i like playing it but after a while i just don't like playing anymore so i'm not sure i'm gonne buy it

All-Pro Football 2K8. looks interesting except there is no NFL license. It sounds like they will have alot of old players like Barry Sanders and other HOFers.
I really enjoy madden but I don't like that they have exclusive NFL rights now, competition is good for the fans because it leads to a better product at a better price. There is really no reason for EA to invest tons of money into improving the game because there is really no alternative for NFL fans.

Well it sounds like they are trying to prove everybody wrong by adding a ton of features to this year's game.
