Re: The Official Hip-Hop discussion thread
ItalianStallion, I listen to almost all of those artists you named.
Nice list, I'll try to add to it by naming some songs that you didn't mention.
Masta Ace- Beautiful, Acknowledge, Soda & Soap, Too Long
Jay-Z- Meet The Parents, Dead Presidents 2, Moment of Clarity, Where I'm From, You Must Love Me, 99 Problems, D'Evils, Can I Live, Feelin It
Xzibit- At The Speed of Life, The Foundation, Chamber Music, 3 Card Molly, What U See Is What U Get
Nas- I Gave You Power, If I Ruled The World, What Goes Around, Rewind, One Mic
Outkast- Return of the "G", Elevators (Me and You), Rosa Parks, Ain't No Thang
Big Punisher- Fast Money, You Ain't A Killer, Beware
In the P.J.'s, my blend tape plays, bullets are strays
Young bitches is grazed
Each block, is like a maze, full of black rats trapped
Plus the Island is packed
From what I hear in all the stories when my peoples come back, black

LOL, yeah, current hip-hop does blow for the most part. But there is still some good stuff out there.Current hip-hop blows!
And it will until Wu-tangs next album comes out. Then soon after it will blow again.
Kanye's new album "Graduation" comes out on September the 11th, don't forget about that.
Current hip-hop blows!
I think it is marketed for 13 year old rich kids now days.
NWA and Wu-Tang have enough tracks to last me a life time. And they don't get old.

Yeah I cant wait for the next WU album comes out!!! But I said it once that shit on the radio they try to pass off as hip hop is NOT hip hop!!!! If I drew nothing but stick figures could I really say that I was better than Picaso? Would anyone say that Kiss and Goo Goo Dolls can be classified as the same type of music? Lil Wayne saying that he is the best in hip hop is a JOKE!!!! KRS-1 said it best "Rap is something you do, hip hop is something you live". You want the recipe for a hit rap song? Here you go: Talk about being up in the club, make sure you mention your diamonds, and the fact that you drive a bently with wagon wheels, and that you sell drugs and carry a burner. That makes you a thug. The difference between rap and hip hop is rap all you need to know is whats cool today, while hip hop takes talent, dedication, usage of vocabulary ( and knowing what those words that you just used means), and ability. Yeah so I can lil wayne saying that he is better than Jay-Z, I mean I'm 5'7" and half that makes me taller than Yao Ming right, I said it so it must beThanks for the sig Pack93z

I love when you take breaks from plucking your unibrow and grunting/slapping to makes posts in this forum

Incidentally my favorite Atmosphere song is "Summer Song" if you've heard it.
I think it was just on some obscure compilation CD and not on one of their albums though.
