North Dakota: Home to Future Oil Sheikhs?

3 to 4.3 Billion Barrels of Technically Recoverable Oil Assessed in North Dakota and Montana’s Bakken Formation—25 Times More Than 1995 Estimate—

Reston, VA - North Dakota and Montana have an estimated 3.0 to 4.3 billion barrels of undiscovered, technically recoverable oil in an area known as the Bakken Formation.

A U.S. Geological Survey assessment, released April 10, shows a 25-fold increase in the amount of oil that can be recovered compared to the agency's 1995 estimate of 151 million barrels of oil.

Well, I suppose if he wanted he could be a baron instead.

Hey, BLV, has OPEC called yet? I have a few things I'd like to say to them.

Huh? This is from the US Geological Survey.
Are you hiding the other 396 billion somewhere? What kind of SUV do you drive, man?

I'm not hiding anything. They did seismographing around the state last fall and they do infrared imaging and can tell what's there.
And they estamted about 400 billion barrels of oil

Now that's what I call post-whoring to the nth degree. Quoting someone & not so much as a single word for a reply.

??? 400 Million? But you claimed 400 Billion in your earlier reply.

Which is it?

This new study just came out yesterday, which is why it's so much more than previously thought. Soak it up BLV, you could be a modern day Jed Clampett!
