Spent some time on the banks of the Missippi (Grand Rapids/Deer River) doing that as a kid with my Dad and Uncles.

Only time my Dad accused me of being a Sissy Girl.
I kept thinking a Snapping turtle was gonna be in the bank.

LOL! I saw noodling on a news report this morning & was going to start a thread when I got home.

They outlawed in one state because too many big cats were being noodled.

They showed a clip of people noodling on opening day.

I wasn't paying close attention, but I believe I heard they outlawed it again because too many cats were taken.
