Non-World Cup Football Thread
Now that the World Cup is over I think it's about time we put that dear old boy to rest and began a new and improved, all-encompassing football thread.
And what better topic to start it off than the impending announcement regarding the four Serie A clubs and the match-fixing allegations?! According to widespread reports, Juve are definitely going down on account that they've admitted it, with a MASSIVE 25 point deduction!! Good luck getting out of Serie B in one season Juve! The others get similar punishments, but with lesser point deductions.. I can't wait for the announcement.
Other than that, the English football leagues fixture lists have been announced, and everyone is gearing up for the domestic seasons all over the World.
Bring on the new season!!

Re: Non-World Cup Football Thread
DC United just beat Celtic in an exhibition match 4-0. My boy Freddy Adu put one into the net.
It's too bad that the only way I could watch the European leagues is to pay for it. The fact that I live in two different places during the year makes that pretty much impossible.MC's run away when I kick it

Kenny Miller is a very poor player.
And the Premiership starts on Saturday 19th of August, with the lower leagues start two weeks before that; on Saturday 4th of August.

Indeed there were. Luckily, Miller got sent off before he could pull out a knife or something."Bdubya" wrote:

Just got the full verdicts on the four Italian clubs from a friend of mine whose Dad speaks Italian and watched the live press conference on Italian television:
Juventus: Serie 'B' 30 points deducted - 2004/05 and 2005/06 titles stripped.
Fiorentina: Serie 'B' 12 points deducted.
Lazio: Serie 'B' 7 points deducted. Banned from Champions League football this season.
Milan: Serie 'A' but 15 points docked. Banned from Champions League football this season.
