Man, that suuuuuccckkkksss! At least he has it in perspective, but I still think it's lame that he you can't accept money for any sport.

I'm not a fan of college football, but I gotta wonder, what NCAA rule does it violate?

1. The money isn't from a recruiter or pro team, it's from a contest.

2. Being that the prize is being paid by the golf course & having nothing to do with his football skills, it's not like he'd be a paid athelete. Two totally unrelated sports.

3. It's not a gift he'd be accepting. It's a prize for a hole-in-one.

Can one of you college sports gurus clue me in?

I wonder if he was in the golf tournament as a rep from the college and team, I think that might make the difference
