A Night Out at the Ball Park

Wildwoman scored some really great tickets for our local baseball team (Orioles Triple A Affiliate) last night. We (WW, Wildman, his girlfriend and I) got to see a great game.

The Tides won after lighting up the Charlotte Knights (White Sox Triple A Affiliate) 10 - 2.
The Tides had 3 home runs and played some pretty good Defense behind their pitcher who had a 1 hitter going into the 7th.

Only negative for the night was that the Tides aren't a part of the Twins organization, however, I guess you can't have everything.

We did have a great time.
We are thinking about season tickets next year as we go to probably 5 or 6 games a year.

Like Z said, minor league ball is hard to beat.

Owner/general managers are usually pretty personnable (Mr. Young stopped and chatted with almost all of us in our section). The kids are out there trying real hard to make it to the show, most of the parks are pretty decent with really no bad seats in them and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg (well just a finger when you count the beer @ $6.00 a cup) to attend.

Throw that all in and how can you not have a good time.

Looks like you guys had a great time. Next Wednesday (the 27th) I will be going to the cheesedicks (Brewers) baseball game and pisswater (Miller) park. It's a 1:05 game time so hopefully it'll be nice out and they'll have the roof open and I can enjoy some cold beverages with my buddy and his wife (my fiance has to work

Can't wait to take in my first pro game of the year!
