Re: NFL vs. NHL: Which is the most brutal game (with Video)

This is a definitely an interesting thing to discuss ... but if I am correct no athletes on earth have a smaller individual "career lifespan" than those in the NFL. So I have to go NFL.
Hockey is a brutal sport, but it is made up for with constant line changes and your best players logging only 20 minutes. It also seems to breed longevity as many of the games players play into the 40s ... you only see K's and very rarely others playing past 38 in the NFL.

I don't think you are correct.
Most professional dirtbike racers retire before they are 30 due to the multitude of broken bones accrued over the course of their short careers.
That would be my guess for most broken bones/shortest average careers.
Rock out with your cock out!!!

Just clicked around a bit and I see that the general consensus is that an NFL player's career - on average - will last 3-4 years.
Assuming the player went to college all 4 years, that's 26, 27 and now what?

However, I doubt most of those careers end after 3-4 years because of injury.
My assumption would be that they end because nobody wants those guys any more.

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!
