Hahaha a dollar is the most anyone would pay for it anyways.
Might as well take what he can get.

    Unless he offers me pancakes.
Then we can purify ourselves in the waters of lake Minnetonka.

    LOL!

I would pay more than a dollar for the CD!

It is a gimmick to get in the record books for release sales. Blah blah blah!

He did something similar with another album.
He bought all the copies and attached them to the ticket for his pre-sold concert tickets.
He distributed one per person at the concert.
It was like 250,000 copies or something the first week on the charts.

Point is, it was a gimmick for sales and chart stats.

It was cool getting a free CD.

I'm not going to claim to be a huge fan of Prince, to be honest most of my favourite songs are from the 80's / early 90's. Gold or Little Red Corvette spring to mind, but I have heard the first song from the album, guitar and that is worth the money alone, the rest of the album can only be a bonus.

I am sure the whole album will be worth the amount asked.

Anyone that saw the superbowl halftime show, should realize that he is talented.
    Fortunately this
topic was hashed out already in a previous thread so I will leave it at that.

I like the Guitar song also.
I could probably, at a minimum, list 30 other songs of his that I like as much or better.
Try saying that about your average artist today with only a 3-5 year staying power.

I still haven't figured out how I am going to get the CD.
    LOL!

It would be greatly appreciated, and totally unexpected.

How did you like the CD once in hand?

Having a 16 week old son seriously cuts into my leisure time LOL, causing this late reply. The CD is pretty good IMO, being a fan of the more up tempo side of Prince, Chelsea Rodgers is my favourite track on the album so far, its got da funk!

BTW here's the TV advert for the free CD promotion.....

    Hey Scottish,
    Where do you live exactly?

How about that finish in The Open Championship today.
Unbelievable I wont spoil it in case you have it recorded, but it was quite a finish.
I had it TiVoing while I was at church so I was a little behind realtime all day while watching it, but I convince my wife to sit down for the last hour and a half because it was getting so good.

Makes me want to get back to Scotland for another golf trip.
I am thinking that in two summers I might make that happen again.
    I sure hope so.
Do you have a couch to crash on?

I too was recording the Open on my SKY+ system (like TIVO) as I had work to do building a fence in my garden. So you can imagine how gutted I was when the stupid machine malfunctioned and didn't record the last 9 holes, when I switched back to the live action Garcia was on the tee at the 18th. I suppose I should think myself lucky that I got to watch that and the play-off afterwards. I saw later what happened to Romero and Harrington at the end of their rounds, looked like it would have been exciting to watch it all unfold. At least we have a European major winner again, it's certainly been a long time coming!

I live in Dunfermline, Fife Turboe, It's only about a 45 minute drive to Saint Andrews, and although I don't play golf myself, we visit that area regularly just to walk along the beaches or around the coastal towns of the "East neuk". You would have to ask the wife about kipping on the couch though.
    ;D
