The New PP.O (to senior members and anyone else)

Is it just me or has posting slowed down and have some people gone away since the change?

    Where did everybody go?

I must say that I have been posting a little less and actually reading a little bit more. Not sure why.

Maybe because of the password thing that may have messed some people up, they have just left for a while. Maybe after the loss too, people don't want to post as much.

Posting slowed down before the change. Not sure why. Maybe winning gives us less to complain about.

End of the semester for college kids, holiday season for those with families, the end of one and beginning of another sports season for any high school athletes we may have(do we have any?): It's a generally hectic time of year for most.

Those factors combined with the changes(I think the From the Huddle Section has probably done the most) has led to less frequent posting IMO

There definitely seemed to be less posting going on ... but I think it was because we are winning.

The loss brought a nice 17-page thread out of the woodwork. Hopefully it is the last of its kind.

We were tracking this at the beginning of the season on PH.com.. site hits were up following a loss vs a win.. almost like we needed a place to vent yet not rejoice.

    Can't be.

    Must be the holiday's.. lol.

To be honest, one of the reasons that my participation on this board had been so sparse for the last several years is that I didn't care for the format as much, and there just didn't seem to be as much going on (in terms of new threads, etc.) Truth be told, I've spent most of my time on Scout Inc.'s Purple Thoughts board, where I've now logged over 7000 posts. In the past 24 hours, there have been well over 100 new threads started...not posts, threads! Now, not all are Vikings related, but still...I can get on here and the first page of threads is often barely changed during the week.

Also, you don't seem to get many posts per page...maybe that is a limit of the software, but so many people feel the need to requote paragraphs and paragraphs and paragraphs of a previous reply, rather than editing a quote down to the salient sentence or two that their reply applies to. At any rate, it doesn't make for good reading. Also, some people love to have pictures as tags, which further limits the number of posts per page.

I stick around here because as people and Vikings fans, you are a great bunch of guys and gals. I want to start spending more time here, cause I know many of you personally from the tailgating. But I'm not wild about the format, or the lack of new material to chew on.
    SKOL VIKINGS!
