I shoot a 12 guage browning semi automatic, it was also my dad's before he passed away. it still works great. the only thing is it can't shoot 3and 1/2 shells. But three inch works fine for ducks, but when geese come they are tuffer to get.
Yeah, some geese seem bullet proof sometimes!
I know, the BB's just bounce right off them. I sucks. lol
I swear those bastards are giggling too!
i bet they are. They are fun to hunt though. Hey ultra, have you ever had a goose dive underwater before like mallards do when they get hit and are sitting in the water? I have had many wounded ducks that when they are hit that dive under the water and tangle themselves in the weeds and drown themeselves(mallards are know for this and do it to me all the time)

Anyway I have never heard of a goose doing it before but when I was hunting last year a flock came over and I hit one and must of just got his wing becuase he dropped in the water and was still alive. The geese were still coming over and i took a couple more cracks at some and missed. When i look back on the water to find the goose so i could shoot it again, it was gone. I i look everywhere over the slew and couldnt see it floating on the water so i figured it must have dove under. I have never seen a goose do that before or even heard of it. I was mad that whole week that i didnt get him. He was a big goose.

I am an that experienced as you when it somes to hunting. I have never heard of that. My brother took 3 shots at a duck, finally dropped it, and then had to take 2 more off the water just to finish him. We were laughing for a long time after that.

    Ever been on nodakoutdoors.com?

Let me qualify this by saying that I am not one of those gay PETA people that cares about animal rights but I cant say that I am a big fan of shooting animals and than stuffing them.

We just don't shoot then stuff.

We shoot, rip the meat out like animals, eat the meat, and then stuff.

Did you think we were savages?

I am a member. Don't post though. My brother is a mod there. The webmaster Eric Hustad is a younger guy (26). He really knows his stuff when it comes to waterfowl and upland hunting.
