    Re: The Mustache Thread

A 'stache isn't something to take lightly, my friends.

Often times I've imagined what it would be like to stage an ultimate mustache championship...although the brackets would be extremely difficult to arrange.

Purely from a football standpoint, you have such standouts as Reid, Holmgren, Bill Cowher, Mike Ditka, Tony Dungy and, of course, our own Brad Childress.

Expanding the pool could bring in such fine talent as Sam Elliot, Don Frye, Dan Severn, Jesse Ventura and the ever controversial Adolph Hitler.
Hitler's 'stache is a fine example of what can happen if you don't maintain tight control of the testosterone filled facial hair...the Terrell Owens of lip accessory.
Cowher was able to control his with a vicious snarl and glaring eyes, but Hitler lacked his intestinal fortitude and let the 'stache run rampant.
We've all witnessed what horrors such a 'stache can cause when unchecked.

Singer's stache was spectacular, a piece of facial hair that would make even Tom Selleck scratch his thick chest hair, then stroke his mustache in appreciation.
Why did he choose to shave it off?
Rumor has it that the combined 'stache power of both Childress and Singer would cause the metrodome to collapse, killing thousands of innocents.
We should all thank singer for his sacrifice, for not unlike the soldiers on Normandy, Singer has given the last, full measure for our continued existence and safety.
