How many ppl watched last night (Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007)'s MTV Video awards? ...Did ya watch it from the beginning?...Checked out the opening act of Brittany Spears?
What happened to her? My goodness!
Outside of the fact that the song wasn't all that good, her clothes and dances moves were scanty, sloppy and non-motivated (if you know what I mean). And her hair was deathly! She's got too much money to NOT have a far better hair style than the one she was sporting last night. And it didn't help that she clearly didn't appear to be in the "performing" spirit, as she lip-synched sloppy and even at times, stopped lipping all together.
Geesh! Just looking at her facial expressions, you could tell something was wrong w/ her. I'm not sure if she was just on the verge of a emotional/mental breakdown, high/stoned or soaked in gray goose or vodka.
Even I felt bad and embarrassed for her (was willing to go hide in a cave my own self).
And the sad thing about it all is that it's NOT FUNNY. It's nothing to laugh about. After viewing her performance last night, I just couldn't shake the feeling that, if she doesn't get some REAL help soon, her name might end up on the front of a tomstone before her 30th b-day. Just sad, IMO. Where the HECK are her PR ppl, image consultants, etc? Why would they allow her to go out there infront of millions of ppl --on a 'COME BACK' --and have this kind of performance?
...Now, there was this rumor I read on the net earlier today. I'm not sure how much truth lies w/ in it, but here goes: supposedly, Brittany found out about the jokes that one comedian woman (Sarah...something) was going to be saying about her, and so then her feelings were hurt, and threatened to NOT perform...some folks were able to get her to go out on stage in the end.
