    Re: Moving to Dallas!

Congrats on the new job man!
I personally hate Texas, but thats only because I can't stand the heat in the summers.
Dallas is a cool city though.
And Texas has the best highway system in the country IMO.
    Enjoy your stay there!

Whatever u do don't go to san antonio just to see the alamo. That was the biggest waste of time! The river walk is nice though.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

    Re: Moving to Dallas!

I moved from good old Woodbury, MN. The suburbs don't even compare to this city. It is HUGE, the highways are absolutely massive, and so far I'm just blown away.

I don't see myself begging to be back in Minny anytime soon. On monday I flew out of horrible weather (45 and sleeting) into greatness (88 and clear). I'll take 3 months of scorching heat over 8 months of winter.

I move into the new apartment tommorw and start work on Wednesday, so I guess I'm officially in the real world now. Being independent feels good, I just hope the Vikings bar I check out this Sunday is legit or I'm going to be scrambling to find a place to watch what could be the most important game of the year.

    wow bro, congrats.

Dallas is very nice. I live in Houston and I have been here off and on for about 14 years now. I am officially from NJ and I lived 2 years in Los Angeles and I can tell you this, none of them compare to Texas.

    Re: Moving to Dallas!

I've lived in the Dallas area for over 15 years now and it's not so bad.
The summers are scorching hot and yes, you will get very sick of them.
I personally like the cold better than the heat but that's just me.

But I must tell you most people here are Cowboys fans (go figure) and anything other (even Texans fans) are a no-no.
    Skol!
    Go Vikings!

Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?

V Unit when you get some time go over to the Corpus Christie area along the coast and go out to the Padre Islands it is a beautiful area and gets a lot of spring breakers, or used to.

It is a drive from the Dallas area but well worth it.
