    Re: Motorized Wheelchair Needed

The internet is a powerful tool.

I can't speak for everyone, but if I had a place to send some money, you would get some from me.

I would recommend setting up a fund at the local bank, and or setting up a paypal.

Let me know and I will do something.

Thanks guys, I'm looking for something reasonable. I may take you up on your offers if I really need to. I need to find something first. I do have PayPal.

For those who suggested the Scooter Store it was already tried. You have to have insurance that will pay, and PA Medicaid will NOT! He already asked. So I'm on the hunt of a way to get him a chair.

If you know of someone that hass passed away and was using a wheelchair, ask if they could donate it to you, or put out an add that you are looking for one. Try E-bay they have about everything on there. but you would probably get hit with mega shippig cost.

Also anyway of buying a new Drive/engine?

    couple of sites I found

    http://www.usedwheelchairs.com/power.html
    http://www.marcsmobility.com/
    http://www.1800wheelchair.com/
    http://www.used-wheelchairs-usa.com/

    Some good info
    http://www.wheelchairjunkie.com/used.html

    Good Luck!

Great sites! I had found one myself.
    ;D
There are great deals on these pages. Still slightly above my budget, but closer to it. The one site suggested contacting our congressman, not a bad idea!

Thanks for the help, this is all new to me.

I hope you have better luck with your congressman than i did with mine.
I am fighting a health ins problem and a daughter with a mental illness/depression, and ran out of insurance.
Now paying out of my own pocket for in-patient treatment, and I got form letters back from 2 senators, and nothing from my congressman.

Anyway, I hope you have better luck.
