In case you motor heads want to know.. That's a 1 of 1, 1967 Obsidian SG-One Mustang (fastback model, yes..
that's Eleanor). $1.3 million. And $25k non-refundable deposit to get a private 'showing'. 800+ HP, with max of over 1,000 HP (more horsepower than any factory Shelby Mustang, a new Corvette ZR-1 or a new Dodge Viper), 392 cubic inches, twin supercharged and intercooled. 0-60 in under 3 seconds, and max speed 210 MPH (dyno projected).

And, yes. It's street legal. =D

    I just messed myself...
And the reason I can't find a 65 fastback to restore to its original state........Cause they are snaking all these up and modifying them so that rich yuppies can say they have a "Eleanor".
    Wait.
    Wasn't Eleanor a '67?

If so, why would everyone be grabbin' up the '65s?
You forgot to mention DUMB rich yuppies.
    =P
At 1000 HP who the hell cares what year it is?

    ;D

I still can't get enough of that car, unbelievable.
    Whats that they say?
After 4 hours if "it" still isn't "down" I'm supposed to go to a physician?
    I know, right?

All day at work today, ALL I talked about was this baby.

    And a little Favre stuff..
    But mostly the Obsidian.
I know...and I'm not even a Mustang fan, I'm much more of a TA guy.
But that car there is something special and probably better than any F body ever made.

Doesn't matter what year......They modify them so much all the original stuff that makes a 65 different from a 67 is gone. All they want is the "unibody to beef up, modify" and the VIN.

I'm not getting down on the car.
I think anyone who can do that to a car is a artist and love shows like West Coats Customs.
I'm just disappointed that I can't find something to restore to its original state.

If it were a GTO, A 'Cuda or a Chevelle it may have peaked my interest. :P

+1...a nice '69-70 Black Chevelle SS. There's a guy lives near me who is really into Mustangs, we call him Mustang Tony. How owns 5 of them, and a Model A. He probably knows about this one.

I had a 69' Chevelle SS 396. Stock it had 375 Horses, but add some 427 fuely heads(from a Corvette), a Eldebrock Torquer manifold, a holley 780 dbl pumper, 311 slip positraction, and some tuned headers...... Sweeeeeet. You could hear me coming from miles away. 8)

I have a difficult time using Hot and Mustang in the same sentence.
Mustangs just don't do it for me.

Yeah, 99% don't do it for me either, but this one is certainly an exception in my book.

    Don't get me wrong..
    All of those are beauts.
But I'm a Mustang guy (classic and modified..
I hate how all the new ones are automatic 4 bangers with some 'cute' little 'momma' thinkin' she's hot stuff because she's in a psuedo-Stang.).

I remember as a kid my dad had a '64 Chevelle Malibu SS, shark teeth grill.
I don't know all the stats, as I was about 3-4 years old when he had to sell it (to a 'friend' who was supposed to hold on to it until finances got better for my dad..
Low and behold, that 'friend' tore it down and sold the parts).
