That said, I would have to go with Dylan, but for me personally it was Led Zeppelin.
Not saying Zeppelin isn't great, they just stole a lot of material: http://www.warr.org/zep.html

Re: Most meaning full Musician ever.
Buddy Holly is a pioneer for rock and Johnny Cash obviously for country and rock.
Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper were the foundation for metal.

That's correct and a very valid point...certainly many of the old blues guys should have been credited. If I recall correctly,
Willie Dixon and maybe Robert Johnson get credits, but there are many more. I have a great CD entitled "The Early Blues Roots of Led Zeppelin", songs by Memphis Minnie, Sonny Boy Williamson, Josh White, Blind Willie Johnson, Robert Johnson, Sleepy John Estes, Bukka White, Blind Roy Fuller, Leadbelly, Arthur Crudup, John Lee Hooker, Oscar Woods and St. Louis Jimmy Oden.
Not an excuse, but Zeppelin threw things together so fast and before they knew it they were very successful and on the road touring. They didn't have time to put an album together and they "borrowed" from these old blues guys, but should have credited them.
I actually like the 3rd, 4th and 5th albums best. But either way, Zeppelin and the Vikings have defined my life for the past 40 years.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L. Mencken

He played folk/country/rock - wrote good rhythm songs but most had more of a poetic than deep meaning IMO.
