Just because they're old, doesn't mean they're influential.
Pong is on there, the others didn't exactly spurn genres.
I think that 007 should definitely be on there too.
You might even be able to make a case for something like DDR over Wii Sports.
DDR is on there as well.
    Oops, didn't see that.

They are always influential. Everyone always try to "out-do" what is already out there. That is what drives technology.

    Re: Most Influential Video Games

Well I havent been around for the debut of all these games, but to me influential games are

    1. Halo 2
    2. Guitar Hero

Those are two games that I have had so much fun with and now are the reason I developed the love for games I have today. They changed my life and theyre the reason I am ona sponsored Halo/Gears Team

Thank you Josdin for the sig

    Re: Most Influential Video Games

By influential it should change what happens after it comes out.

Mario 64 was the biggest game for the N64.
GTA has to be on the list for all the other games that tired to copy it.
Golden Eye 007 should be on the list because it was the first truely good first person shooter I can remember for a console.

And not so much fo sonic. just like mario, but a hedgehog

    Re: Most Influential Video Games

Where are all the driving games? Arcade favorites like Outrun, Ridge Racer, Hard Drivin, Sega Rally or Daytona which between them introduced sit in cabinets, hydraulics and 4 way play. Or console games such as Gran Turismo or The Need for Speed which brought realism and customisation to the genre. Then there's Mario Kart one of the best multiplayer games ever, surely at least one of these games should have made the list. ???
