    Monitor problem

I've got a monitor question for people far more knowledgeable about this stuff. I've had the same monitor for 3-4 years now and had never had a problem with it until recently. What the monitor is doing is everytime my computer goes into standby mode or when I restart my computer, the monitor turns off and in order to turn it back on I have to hit the power switch twice on it. I've gone into the power settings, and I modified it so the monitor should never turn off but that didn't work. Any other ideas on how to fix this?

    Thanks Josdin

I have never heard of a problem like that.
Additionally I called a couple of my minions (Co-workers) down at our Tech support shop and they haven't either.

    Re: Monitor problem

ive seen this issue be more on the side with the video card than the monitor.
if the monitor is that old, replace it.
see if that fixes the issue.

I haven't heard of this particular problem before.

The computer BIOS power management and Windows power management may be conflicting.
    This is my best guess.
Have you made any changes to the computer system itself lately, or flashed the BIOS?

Does this monitor behave properly on another computer?
Does another monitor behave properly on this computer?
This would let us know if it is the monitor or the computer itself.

    Sorry, man. Dead monitor.

The new flatscreen ones are great and not that expensive, at least.
