Mojo & Harmony
With a flurry of recent signings, it gets me thinking about all the "MOJO & HARMONY" that was created in the off-season & pre-season that these "new" guys missed.
Additionally, this has to have an effect on some players who "survived" all that work and now feel that perhaps this place isn't any different or special . . . its just a business.
As previously discussed in numerous other threads . . . it takes a "team" to win and I'm not sure I like this aspect of the NFL.
Atleast some legendary sports teams, more specifically the 1980 Olympic Hockey Team, pretty much had the same crew until the end and thus a level of trust and harmony was created.

One reason you don't see much of that anymore is the almighty dollar. Player are signing elsewhere for bigger paychecks. Back in the 70's & before, it was common & often necessary for players to work in the offseason to support there families. At least some legendary sports teams, more specifically the 1980 Olympic Hockey Team, pretty much had the same crew until the end and thus a level of trust and harmony was created.
The salaries were nowhere near what they are today in respect for that period of time.

Oh I agree with that, but I sometimes wonder if the new talent is that much better than the guy(s) who were here from the beginning & had the opportunity to buy into the system."sleepagent" wrote:

I know in some cases tyhe answer is yes, but in most . . . I'm not sure.
It only takes 1 knucklehead to begin to destroy the Mojo.
