MN Bridge collapse
This is horrible!
I-30 west bound Bridge that connects Downtown and Univ of Minnesota is in ruins.
Cars fall into Mississippi.
Bikers and pedestrians also have fallen as well.
Fox news has live coverage.
A time for prayer for all involved.

Wow... scary scene. Especially near rush hour. Please any Minneapolis-St. Paul PP.Oers post so that we know you're safe.

Re: MN Bridge collapse
I just heard about this - it's the 35W bridge - total collapse. It looks very bad. This is a MAJOR bridge/artery through the Twin Cities.

Re: MN Bridge collapse
They said there was bumper-to-bumper traffic on the bridge. School bus, trucks, many, many vehicles.

Re: MN Bridge collapse
I live in Fargo and was listening to KFAN when the story broke. I immediately felt anxious. I hope that those invovled are safe and treated with respect from this point forward. My thoughts and prayers go out to all that are effected.
I would also like to voice my applause for KFAN which handled the story with alot of dignity. They were thoughtful and sincere. However, they switched over to the local FOX coverage of the situation, and the first thing I heard was a commentator saying, "As of now there are zero confirmed fatalities." I was disgusted and turned off my radio. I think it is a sad day when something like this happens and the media uses the intrigue of death to move the story. I wish that everyone could handle this situation as well as the KFAN staff did before switching over.
